The word "Imus" was on six pages of the A-section of today's Orange County Register, including Page One below the fold. It took me just that much less time to read the paper -- I was done by the time we hit Commerce.

I don't CARE. I'm HAPPY that he got fired -- he sucks and I don't want that crap being spewed any more than I want baseball players to use steroids or basketball players to act like street trash in upgraded footwear.

It always amazes me the hot fuss people make over stuff like this -- but two weeks ago if you'd asked the same people their opinions of Imus, they'd have reacted with a great deal less outrage. It's not like he suddenly had a bit-flip and became offensive -- just this time he got caught.

So. I'm glad he got fired -- Howard Stern needs to begone too, as do a number of talk radio hosts -- but it would be more fitting had he just been dumped into oblivion with no media fanfare.
