I took some pictures in our back yard the other day after it snowed; attempting to get our camera to take some really nice snow pictures is hard, I’ve found, because despite the great 6.1MP pickup on it, the reflection of the light on the snow somehow overloads the sensor and creates a lot of artifacts. I’m not sure how to combat that, and I suspect I can’t do it on this camera and would need something a bit more powerful to do so (like…a polarizing filter or something). Heeeeeeeere SLR…..

I don’t remember much about your camera, but if you can control the aperture on it you can get rid of some of the brightness. I would turn the aperture down so it lets in less light. They turned out pretty clean and pretty, honestly, and I’m not even sure I’d change anything, personally. It’s still good to mess around and experiment. If you have just a little point-and-shoot then you wont be able to change much at all. Still, I like them!
Also..if there’s one thing I noticed about your camera it is that it takes really really good detail shots and up-close shots. Lucky. My camera is a pain in the ass SLR that has a lot of neat features but is hard to get the hang of. If I want to take a picture of something close up I have to adjust several things and then the picture might not even come out that great. I want to steal your camera.
