I LOVE eggs, but can't handle them fried. The thought of eating runny yolk wigs me out a little. Give me nicely COOKED scrambled eggs anyday! (Although that being said, your post has made me wish I'd cooked eggs for breakfast instead of crumpets... always tomorrow.)

Fried Eggs?? NO THANK YOU! I hated them all those years ago when Dad made them for breakfast and I had them to this day, however, I have a strong affection (I east them for supper a couple times a week!)for scrambled eggs prepared in much the same way....BTW, farm fresh eggs from Dad are the best...call me crazy, but I can tell a difference!

Ross: You're a representative of DuPont and you have a Gmail account? Curious. :P~ At any rate, I was being facetious for literary purposes. I have no knowledge whether or not Teflon is dangerous. It doesn't amuse me to think of it flaking off and getting into my food, however, so I try to keep only pans that are in good condition and quickly ditch those that start to flake. In addition to this, I make sure I have good ventilation, as the fumes are known to harm birds, and I figure that's enough excuse to prevent them from hurting me, too. I prefer using cast iron for almost everything else typically.

Nathan - Thanks for recommending using a non-stick pan when you go about cooking your eggs. However, as a representative of DuPont, just wanted to let you know that there is no scientific basis to support claims that cookware coated with Teflon non-stick causes cancer. If you have any questions, or want any additional information, let me know and I will get it to you.

Well Nathan, when you said you were going to write about something else, this isn't what I imagined - but it's very good. It made me laugh, it made me hungry, it made me happy that I have fresh green grapes and a member of the opposite sex to share them with. And now I am going to make you jealous by telling you I have a gas stove and range, which somehow makes all my egg cookery even more yummy. And I agree, S&P is all you need for a good egg - unless it's an omelette, in which case you need cheese and whatever else you can cram in. I recommend leftover asparagus.

Patrick: I try not to be discriminatory. After all, it's not the color, it's what you do with the grapes that matters.

So Pralle--if I'm reading this right, you dream of being in the arms of a hot member of the opposite sex who is eating grapes?

Green or red?

Rebecca: Hardly! In the fine arts of egg cookery, there's the subtle manner of actually pulling off a proper sunny-side-up egg, which is notoriously difficult to do and, around here at least, you end up with something way overcooked or something very gelatinous and nasty. Yours were definitely the first sunny-up eggs I've ever had that were actually done right.
